THANK - YOU!
Thirty years of neighbors helping neighbors, and you showed up bigger than ever — our 30th Anniversary Marathon for a Better Life raised $211,586.84. "When hearts take over the impossible happens"
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Schoharie County. On Saturday June 13 at SUNY Cobleskill we gathered for a full day dedicated to community, courage, and compassion, and you turned it into more than a celebration — you turned it into help for the next family facing cancer.
The Marathon started in 1996 to assist, both financially and spiritually, Schoharie County residents stricken with cancer. Since then, we've helped over 2,000 people of all ages with the bills that weigh heavily on a patient's mind and allowed them to focus on their recovery. In our 30 years we have disbursed over $2,000,000.00 to those in need. That's an astounding number. We are loud and proud of you all.Every dollar, every volunteer hour, every walk around that track matters. To the survivors we honored, the angels we remembered, the teams, sponsors, raffle buyers, and the strangers who became friends — thank you.
For 30 years this Marathon has been about people helping people, and you proved that spirit is still alive and strong. We are humbled, we are grateful, and we are already getting to work putting these funds to use.
With love and gratitude, Board of Directors Marathon for a Better Life.
